Why Consulting ?
New Construction teams as well as Facility / Operation Teams typically don't have the internal expertise or time to audit the building automation system in their facility. With my expertise in new buildings as well as conversion of "live" systems in the most critical facilities, I can assist clients meet their internal operational and institutional requirements of their BAS. My solutions typically met /exceed Building certification requirements including the Uptime Institute.
Why name it "Day 2" Consulting ?
Day 2 refers to the day after the first day of a building delivery to the owner. This is the day that the building transitions into the maintenance phase with the building core solutions under "real world" operational conditions. These core systems have to be maintained for reliability, occupant comfort, and energy efficiency moving forward. Day 2 is the day that the building design meets reality.

My Expertise

30 years of Direct Digital Controls (DDC) & Building Automation Systems (BAS) challenges.
Project Delivery
Delivered Building Automation System (BAS) in all aspects of project delivery including engineering design, software and graphics development, system operational testing, 3rd party validation, and owner training. Solutions include HVAC control & monitoring, Electrical Power Monitoring (EPMS), owner provided equipment monitoring as well as utility power metering.
Prior Work Experiences
From 1999 to 2024, served as a Sales Executive for the two largest control contractors in the Pacific Northwest, selling and delivering solutions across all segments, including Data Centers, Pharmaceutical, and Medical. Delivered all project types, including Plan & Specification, Design Assist, and Build.
Team Leader
Beginning in 2010, a new dedicated Seattle-based contractor branch was developed to provide building automation systems utilizing solutions to the Pacific Northwest and beyond. That branch now services over 400 client installations all market segments with a diverse BAS product spectrum.
